Local-first by design
CodeFathom indexes your repositories on-device. You keep ownership of your code and control what you share.
Account responsibility
You must have rights to the repositories you index and are responsible for account security and authorized use.
Paid subscription
Plans combine a monthly seat fee with Context Bandwidth Credit usage for delivered context.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using CodeFathom, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws.
Accounts and security
Keep credentials secure, maintain accurate account information, and promptly notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Local-first processing
CodeFathom builds semantic indexes locally on your machine or network. We do not access your repository contents unless you choose to share them for support or enable features that require transmission.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt to access other users' data, or use CodeFathom to violate laws or third-party rights.
Billing and fees
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Fees include seat charges and Context Bandwidth Credit usage. Taxes may apply and you are responsible for payment.
Trial
Trials, if offered, are time-limited and may require a payment method. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Access remains through the end of the current billing period. We may retain limited records as described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
CodeFathom integrates with third-party services for authentication, payments, analytics, and hosting. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms.
Intellectual property
BackHome Technologies LLC and its licensors own CodeFathom and related materials. You retain ownership of your content and grant us a limited license to provide the service.
Feedback
You may provide feedback without obligation. We may use it to improve CodeFathom without restriction or compensation.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data. By using CodeFathom, you consent to those practices.
Disclaimers
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BackHome Technologies LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amounts paid to us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where BackHome Technologies LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree to exclusive jurisdiction in the courts located there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page and will apply to continued use.
